For over 27 years the Savannah River Genealogical Society has worked to preserve the untold stories of Hart County's historical families by collecting and preserving artifacts and documents important to our county and through educational programs that promote a better understanding of our history and the people who make it.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the society is built around an annual commitment of $15.00. To help us cover our expenses, many of our members choose to give more than the standard membership fee. We hope you will give this some consideration when you apply for membership. For an application form, please CLICK HERE.
YOU CAN PLAY A ROLE IN PRESERVING HART COUNTY HISTORY
The Savannah River Genealogical Society has been collecting books, manuscripts, maps, newspapers, photographs, architectural drawings, and artifacts since 1987. Much of SRVGS collections are the result of donations from individuals, families, and organizations that recognize SRVGS as a secure and trustworthy repository for housing and caring for the story of Georgia families in the area surrounding Hart County.
We encourage you to consider donating your historical materials to SRVGS where they will be preserved so they can inform and inspire future generations.
Before donating materials, please contact the Savannah River Genealogical Society. Our staff will discuss with you our donation options, procedures, and collection development focus.
